Our Canada Day celebrations started with free cake and tea and coffee for everybody follow by the performance of the Parrsboro Citizens Choir, a 2pm flag raising, O Canada and greetings from elected representatives, ending our celebration in our annual cake auction (our biggest fundraiser of the year).
Our annual Strawberry Dessert weekend fundraiser was our best year so far, we sold over 130 desserts!
Parrsborough Shore Historical Society President, Jack Boyd accepts an annual grant from Mayor Murray Scott and Counsellor Carrie Goodwin from the Municipality of Cumberland County.
